Terms of use

Last updated: September 5, 2026

These Terms of Use (“terms”) govern your use of the Swords Express Go mobile application (“the app”). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What the app is

Swords Express Go is an independent tool that presents scheduled and real-time bus information for the Swords ↔ Dublin commuter service. It is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by any bus operator or transport authority. “Swords Express” and any route names or numbers are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

No guarantee of accuracy

Timetable data, live departure estimates, vehicle positions, walking times, and stop locations are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Services change, and live data depends on third-party sources that can be unavailable. Do not rely on the app where missing a bus, or being misinformed about one, would cause you loss, harm, or missed commitments. Always allow a margin and check with the operator for anything important.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except as permitted by law
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app or the systems it connects to
  • Use automated systems to extract data from the app at scale
  • Use the app in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights

Intellectual property

The app, including its design, code, text, and graphics, is owned by David McMahon or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on a device you own or control. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Price and availability

The app is currently offered free of charge. We may change its features, availability, or price, or discontinue it, at any time. Any payments, if introduced, would be processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, David McMahon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed or delayed transport, reliance on timetable or live data, or your inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under Irish or EU consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
